Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika has announced that international flights will resume in Nigeria from August 29th starting with Lagos and Abuja airports.

Sirika made the announcement on his Twitter handle stating that he was glad to announce the return of international flights.

“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the 29th of August, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption. Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience”, Sirika wrote on his Twitter handle.

The airport and others were shut on March 27 to curb the spread of COVID-19.
